Rachel Thorne is a pen name for Denise Grover Swank. Rachel writes sweet, feel-good romcoms while Denise writes mostly mysteries now. 

Rachel/Denise is the single mother to three French bulldogs and a half Golden Retriever. Oh, and she also has six human children, all technically adults. 

She (they?)  lives in the Lake of the Ozarks, in the center of Missouri. Yes, like the show Ozark, not like exactly like the show. I’ve yet to see Marty or anyone else from the show. Also the lake isn’t that wide and shorelines are FILLED with docks. (Those shots in the show are from a lake in Georgia.) So can you say false advertising? 

Rachel or maybe Denise’s hobbies include reading, wasting massive amounts of time on Facebook and Reddit’s AITHA, deck gardening (and failing miserably), and learning how to drive her new used boat. If only it wouldn’t keep breaking down. (It’s not my fault—I swear!)
